Fukuzushi in Furano

Friends raved about the sushi at this place but I didn't agree. It was reasonable but nothing like you'd get in Tokyo

Cozy place with friendly staff. Grill fish and chicken satay are amazingly good.

If you ever stop by Furano, this restaurant is a “must try”. If you are after decent meal with reasonable price then look no further.

ネタもシャリもデカい！新鮮でわさびもきいて美味しい！店員さんも職人さんも愛想がよくて居心地がとてもいい。東鹿越行きの列車への乗り換えで時間があるときは、またここでお昼ご飯を食べたい。

Very limited menu with most sashimi & sushi rather overpriced. Quality of fish is only average. However the deep fried chicken and yakitori we added later tasted surprisingly good.

Good sushi, but definitely not the best I ever tasted. Pay attention when ordering, their sushi has a lot of rice, so you might want to order small size at the beginning. The ambience is nice and they have bar, table or tatami seating.

Very generous with their Sushi portions. And the sushi was fresh and delicious.

Food is fresh and price is reasonable for it's portion. They also have jumbo rice option for sushi sets. However we were not satisfied with the ottoro sashimi that we've ordered as it does not have much fats to it (as you can see in the photo) .

Very Homey atmosphere both chef and staff are very helpful and respectable. The food was great and would also give complimentary sushi.

Some sushi were great but others weren't that good as expected. Service wise was great and friendly 👍

economy real Japanese sea food taste

Very fresh, tasty and generous portion of sushi. Love it! Probably better than tsukiji fish market famous sushi. We sit at the sushi counter and was lucky to be served by the chief sushi chef. I suggest to request for smaller portion of sushi for better bite size.

The uni don never disappoints.

Really a disappointing experience. I generally felt like I have been “conned” here. The sushi are really unreal - I have never seen such portion of rice before (and I do pride myself on being pretty well traveled in Japan). Will never recommend and will never return for sure

Excellent service and great food. Apart from sushi/donburi, try the homemade marinated squid and the grilled chicken. Portions (even the half-size donburi) are large!

Extremely fresh sashimi but slightly pricey

We ordered katsudon (¥1350) was tasty and big portion. Meat was tender. Sauce was a little too much. Sashimi was about ¥500 for a standard piece of sashimi. We ordered 3 types and costs us ¥1,500. Chef salad was fantastic with crunchy toasted almond. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive Lthough they speak very little English. 2 carparks available, next and in front of the restaurant. 300ml cold sake was around ¥1200

A bit pricey in Japan. Probably target foreigners?

Great food & service. You could choose more rice or less rice for sushi. The "more rice" option must make you full! Normally small is more than enough.

Warm reception and service. As soon as you walk in hot tea and water literally followed you to your table. Beautiful sushi and chirashi selection. Gentle atmosphere and kids friendly. Unless you are terribly hungry the small rice serving for sushi is aplenty.

Jumbo nigiri is famous for being a popular sushi restaurant since olden timesYou can choose jumbo, normal, small size for grip, but most people choose jumbo because the price does not change even if you select a small sizeThere are four types of nigiri sushi: normal students (1300 yen), middle students (1600 yen), senior students (1900 yen) and special students (4600 yen).There is also a story that you can order from one piece, especially "Mountain-filled sea urchin nigiri" (1200 yen each) is a hidden specialty menuIf you ask for a beer or a la carte menu, the bill may be more than 4000 yen per person, but Uniun warships are highly recommended because they are highly satisfied.By the way, it seems that the challenge menu that you can eat five jumbo sushi for free is over last year (colored papers of successful people are still displayed)

Giant sushi was delicious. Staff spoke English and were very welcoming. Menu is in English. I’d like to go again!

Absolutely delicious food! It’s so fresh...even the salad! Truly delicious food. I want to come back here again tomorrow. And they don’t speak English but they know how to work with you and get you what you want! Also, it seems like a lot of famous people have been here. And it’s best to come with a reservation!We loved it so much that we came back for dinner here again, and one of the staff members recognized us, and thanked us for coming!

Extremely fresh sashimi, high quality rice, reasonably priced for what you get! Highly recommended. Try the chirashi and, of course, sushi. Tuna, conger eel and prawns are the best

Fish is very fresh and portions are quite generous. Prices are reasonable and staff are generally friendly and helpful.

great sushi in Furano

We were a big group and we were travelling in Hokkaido. You can upgrade the sushi to bigger size for free. However, personally I would not recommend doing so because it didn't taste better and for me that's too big. I would rather have normal size sushi. Anyway, it is a good restaurant and I would recommend it. I think they get very busy in winter and it is better to book in advance.

Good, but topical sushi is similar quality to my taste and was much cheaper

The fish was warm and mushy, the tuna had an off taste as well. Most of the seafood tasted bland and we suspected that they weren't fresh. There was also too much rice per piece of sushi even for the small size.

I will definitely revisit this restaurant. Each menu is enough sized. :-)

Get the large size rice with your order of sashimi! They're are huge!

Great location (2 minutes walk from Furano JR Station ), affordable price, long opening hours. And their best offer is FREE up-size for some sushi plates.
